SUPPORTER GUIDE: Key Information For Manchester United Game

Durham Women welcome Manchester United to Maiden Castle on Wednesday, October 26 – as we continue our Continental Tyres Cup campaign.

It’s set to be another memorable night under the Maiden Castle lights, with tickets for the game selling-out in record time.

And ahead of the game, we’ve put together some FAQs to make your visit as enjoyable as possible:

When and where is the game taking place?

Durham v Manchester United will take place on Wednesday, October 26 with a 7:00pm kick-off.

The match will be held at Maiden Castle, DH1 3SE.

Can I still get a ticket for the game?

No – all available tickets have been sold and no further tickets will be made available.

Please do not travel to Maiden Castle without a ticket as none will be available at the ground on the day.

Please also remain vigilant on social media. We have seen several examples of scammers pretending to have tickets.

I’m coming to my first game, where can I find more information?

If you need more details, just drop us an email on mark.donnelly@durhamwfc.co.uk.

Is there somewhere for me to park?

There will be parking available for the game, but we would ask fans to walk or utilise public transport where possible. We would also encourage car sharing.

For those arriving by car, parking will be available for free in two car parks at Maiden Castle – as marked by ‘Car Park 1’ on the map below.

These two car parks are just a short walk from the entrance to the ground, and spaces will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Stewards will be on hand to guide to you to a space.

Once these car parks are full, supporters will be asked to park in the overflow car park at the Palatine Centre – which is approximately 15 minutes walk away from the ground.

This is indicated on the map below as Car Park 2:

We would therefore advise all spectators to arrive in plenty of time to ensure that they arrive at the ground in time for kick-off, should they have to walk from the Palatine Centre.

Spectators should also note that they should not park their vehicles along Stockton Road.

What time should I arrive?

Supporters will be able to enter Maiden Castle from 5:00pm, which is when the turnstiles will open.

We’ve put a full timetable of what’s happening and when below:

Will I be able to get a seat in the ground?

Seating at Maiden Castle is available on a first come, first served basis. We would therefore recommend that any fan wishing to secure a seat arrive for the turnstiles opening.

We would also ask all supporters to not sit in any seats marked as reserved.

Please note that fans cannot reserve seats by placing coats etc. over them. Stewards will be ensuring that this does not happen.

There are a number of areas available for supporters wishing to stand, offering a great view of the action.

What refreshments will be available?

Fat Frank’s Street Food Trucks will be providing food and drinks at the game. Hot and cold options will be available, with cash and card accepted.

There will be three catering units which will be situated next to the turnstiles immediately as you enter the ground, which will be:

  • Fat Frank’s Street Food
  • Coffee & Donuts
  • German Bratwurst

The Club Room Bar will also be open ahead of the game, with the entrance just before the turnstile outside the ground. The bar shows Sky Sports and offers a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Some example prices are below:

Please note that alcohol cannot be brought into the ground.

What merchandise will be available?

We’ll have a full range of merchandise available – make sure you head to the merchandise stall to check it out!

Can I bring flags into the ground?

Flags must be hung on the green perimeter fencing around the ground.

Can I bring dogs into the ground?

No – only guide dogs can be brought into Maiden Castle.
