Durham Women FC are delighted to reveal a limited edition programme for the visit of Manchester United – as we back Stonewall’s #RainbowLaces campaign.
The annual initiative aims to ‘Make Sport Everyone’s Game’, with athletes donning the rainbow laces in support of LGBTQ+ inclusion during the month of October.
And this year, the Wildcats are throwing their weight behind the campaign – with their sold-out game against the Red Devils falling on Rainbow Laces Day (October 26).We’ve redesigned our match day programme covers to show-off Stonewall’s Rainbow Laces and have dedicated internal pages to the campaign – highlighting their push to Lace Up and Speak Up, and start the conversations we need to have to make sport everyone’s game.
We will also be utilising Rainbow Laces corner flags during the Continental Tyres League Cup fixture.
As an inclusive football club, we want everyone to know that they are welcome at Maiden Castle – and we hope this small gesture shows our commitment to ensuring our games remain accessible for all.
Priced at £4, the programme will contain all the usual match day features – plus a special pull-out autograph sheet for young (and old!) supporters to collect signatures.
