Vacancy | Content Creator Intern

Durham Women FC are looking for an ambitious and creative Content Creator Intern to join the club for the 2026/27 season.

We know how difficult it can be to get that first opportunity in professional sport.

That’s why we want to play our part in supporting the next generation of talented content creators, giving someone the chance to gain meaningful, hands-on experience within a Barclays Women’s Super League 2 environment.

You’ll be part of our matchdays, around our players and staff, and trusted to help us tell the story of Durham Women FC across our digital channels.

Whether you’re studying a relevant subject, have recently graduated, are building your own portfolio or are simply passionate about creating great content – we’d love to hear from you.

About the Internship

This internship is designed to provide experience of working within a professional football club and help you develop the skills, knowledge and portfolio needed to take the next step in your career.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Create engaging content around Durham Women FC’s first team, players and matchdays
  • Gain experience producing content for a professional sports organisation
  • Capture behind-the-scenes moments and bring supporters closer to the team
  • Develop short-form video content for platforms including TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts
  • Support content creation at selected home matches, training sessions and club events
  • Work alongside experienced staff and learn how content fits within a wider marketing and communications strategy
  • Develop your creative ideas and be given opportunities to bring them to life
  • Gain an understanding of the demands, opportunities and fast-paced nature of working in professional sport

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is creative, enthusiastic and keen to build a career in content, media or sport.

You might already be creating football content. You might be studying media, marketing, photography, videography or a related subject. Or you might simply have taught yourself how to create brilliant content and be looking for an opportunity to demonstrate what you can do.

You’ll ideally have:

  • A strong interest in social media and digital content
  • An understanding of what makes engaging short-form content
  • Confidence capturing video content using a camera and/or smartphone
  • Some experience of editing video using software such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro or similar
  • Plenty of creative ideas and a willingness to suggest them
  • An understanding of current social media trends
  • A proactive and reliable approach
  • A willingness to learn and develop

Previous experience working in professional sport is not required.
