Durham fans can drink in the stadium bowl in 2026/27

Durham Women fans will be able to enjoy all the action in the 2026/27 season with an alcoholic drink in their hand.

The WSL piloted the Fan Choice drinking in the bowl scheme during the second half of the 2024/25 season and expanded it for 2025/26 across 20 clubs, 29 venues and 190 fixtures.

And now, the decision has been made (with shareholder approval) to remove the ruling in the League Competition Regulations relating to the consumption of alcohol in view of the pitch.

That means that Durham fans can enjoy an alcoholic drink in view of the pitch at all our home Barclays Women’s Super League 2 fixtures at Maiden Castle, and in our Subway Players Cup League Phase games at South Shields FC!

For our games at Maiden Castle, alcoholic drinks will be served from the Club Room Bar.

At South Shields FC, a number of bars around the ground will be open serving alcoholic drinks.

And of course, non-alcoholic options remain available too!

You can enjoy the action with a drink in your hand with our 2026/27 Season Tickets – get yours HERE.
