Durham Women are delighted to announce the signing of Australian defender Madison McComasky.
The 26-year-old puts pen to paper on a contract at Maiden Castle after spending last season with Fort Lauderdale United in the USL Super League.
Her impressive form in Florida saw the defender named in the league’s November Team of the Month, while she also scored a crucial stoppage-time goal to secure a point against local rivals Tampa Bay Sun.

Prior to her time Stateside, McComasky impressed with Western Sydney Wanderers in the A-League, racking-up 32 appearances and scoring twice during her two seasons with WSW.
She has also represented Canberra United and Macarthur Rams during her senior career, bringing considerable experience to the North East.
McComasky also brings versatility and is able to play anywhere across the backline and in a defensive midfield role.

Speaking after joining Durham, she said: “I’m really excited to be here at Durham, everyone so far has been so nice and welcoming.
“I know this is a fantastic opportunity to be playing in this league and I can’t wait to get started!”
She will wear the number four shirt for Durham this season.
McComasky becomes the club’s fifth summer signing – joining Jade Pennock, Dee Bradley, Rachel Lowe and Olivia Fergusson in putting pen to paper with the Blues.
