Durham Women FC are delighted to confirm that captain Sarah Wilson has signed a new contract with the club.
The centre back has committed her future to the side ahead of the 2026/27 Barclays Women’s Super League 2 campaign.
Wilson initially joined the club from Newcastle United in 2014 and has gone on to establish herself as a key player in the starting line-up.
Handed the captain’s armband in 2015, Wilson has gone on to make 270 appearances for the Blues – the second-most in our history.
Speaking after signing her new deal, Wilson said: “I’m delighted to sign a new contract with Durham, after more than 12 years at the club.
“I’ve seen the club grow so much over the years, and I’m proud to have been part of that journey.
“I’m grateful for the faith the club has shown in me and look forward to giving my all again this season.
“We have a great group of players, staff and supporters, and I’m excited about what we can achieve together.
“I can’t wait to get back out there and represent Durham once again.”
