Today, we announced fresh investment that secures our future as an independent club in the Barclays Women’s Super League 2.
It allows us to look forward with optimism for the 2026/27 season. But we can’t lie, the last few days have been tough for players and staff – as we sure they have been for our fans too.
But throughout that time, the response from the incredible women’s football community kept us going. The messages of support we received overwhelmed each and every one of us, and we greatly appreciated the outpouring of support from all corners.
And make no mistake, that backing has played such a crucial part in ensuring we can continue. Every message, every social media post, every share, like and comment – you showed that there is a clear desire to keep independent women’s teams at the elite end of the sport.
To everyone on social media, from near and far – you ensured our message went global. You showed that people across the globe value independent women’s clubs. You proved our impact extends far beyond Durham and England. Thank you. And please, keep that support going.
