We caught-up with defender Michaela Foster ahead of Sunday’s game with Sheffield United.
The fixture comes after a special international window – in which Foster and New Zealand secured their place at the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
“To qualify for the World Cup is always special,” she said.
“It was the first time we’ve ever done it at home so it was really cool.
“It was a tough game but to pull through and to celebrate at home and with each other was cool.
“We had our first game in Hamilton which is where I was born and raised and I even got a goal which was special – I don’t do that often at international level!”
Now, Foster’s focus turns to building on recent positives and securing a result against Sheffield United.
“For us to get that draw and big point against Bristol was big for us and I think the fans felt that and helped us get there,” she added.
“We’re excited and focused for Sheffield.
“We’re ready to go out and get a big three points that we need on Sunday.”
