Durham Women’s Professional Game Academy U21 side are set for a big weekend – as they face Manchester United with silverware on the line.
After an 8-0 win over Newcastle United in the semi-finals of the PGA Plate, the Young Blues made their way to the showpiece final for the first time.
And now Adam Furness’ side will battle against the Red Devils at Loughborough University Stadium on Saturday, April 25 (11:00am kick-off).
The final is open to spectators, with entry free of charge.
Speaking ahead of the game, midfielder Eloise Morran said: “We all can’t wait.
“We’ve been training really hard and we’ve got Aston Villa (on Wednesday) to prepare for it.
“It’s just excitement overall and we can’t wait to get going with it.”
Defender Lillie Coulson added: “It’s the biggest occasion the Under-21s have got to.
“There’s a lot of hype around it and we’re all really excited.”
