Durham Women to host A Derby Day That Cares against Sunderland

The River Wear Derby is coming – and we’re hosting a Derby Day with a difference!

Durham face Sunderland on Sunday 11th January in our first home fixture of 2026, and we’ve got a host of wellness-focused activities planned as we look to lift the January blues!

As part of A Derby Day That Cares, we’ll be offering supporters:

• The chance to get their photo taken with the UEFA Women’s Euro trophy that the Lionesses lifted in the summer! It will be in the Club Shop from 10am on match day
• The opportunity to take part in a free, relaxing soundbath – just like our first team players enjoy! We’ll be running a competition for the spaces at the soundbath, which you can enter by scrolling down
• Free wellness-themed giveaways from If U Care Share ahead of the game
• A WSL Panini Sticker Swap Shop – giving you the chance to trade stickers with fellow fans
• Plus much, much more!

Our first fixture of 2026 is the River Wear Derby clash with Sunderland at Maiden Castle – and we’re looking to lift the January Blues for supporters with a day packed full of wellness-focused activities.

And as part of the day, we’re offering 30 supporters the chance to take part in a FREE pre-match soundbath!

A soundbath is a meditative experience where you relax, while being immersed in deep, resonant sounds.

You’ll enjoy a session from the expert who delivers the exact same session to our players!
