Six Durham Women players headed off on international duty, playing a vital role in representing their countries on the global stage.
Here’s what they got up to:
Tyler Toland was in action for the Republic of Ireland in their UEFA Women’s Nations League campaign and featured from the 60th minute in their stunning 4-2 home victory over Belgium. She was named in the squad for the reverse fixture which saw Republic of Ireland secure promotion to League A of the Nations League in a dramatic 5-4 aggregate score.

Sarah Robson and Leyla McFarland both featured in Northern Ireland’s UEFA Women’s Nations League fixtures against Iceland, with a milestone moment for McFarland as she made her senior debut for Northern Ireland. Sarah was in the starting eleven for the delayed reverse fixture, with McFarland coming off the bench.

Mariana Speckmaier featured for Venezuela in both of their CONMEBOL Women’s Nations League. fixtures. Speckmaier came off the bench to assist her country in their 1-1 draw against Chile before featuring in their 2-1 victory against Paraguay.

Michaela Foster and Hannah Blake represented New Zealand in their friendlies against Mexico and USA, with Michaela featuring in the starting XI for both games.
