Beth Hepple signs new contract

Durham Women are delighted to confirm that Beth Hepple has signed a new contract with the club.

The 28-year-old is our longest-serving player and her new deal comes off the back of another impressive season – with the midfielder netting six crucial goals in 26 appearances as Durham secured a top four finish.

Those strikes included a memorable last-minute winner against Blackburn Rovers at Maiden Castle and a crucial goal in the 3-1 win over Newcastle United.

Having initially been part of the grassroots side which began the club’s remarkable journey up the pyramid, Hepple has barely missed a game since the Blues entered the second tier in 2014.

The midfielder’s record currently stands at 272 games played and 99 goals scored and she has played a key role in all the club’s iconic moments.

And now, having extended her stay at Maiden Castle, Hepple is looking forward to writing the next chapter.

“It’s an exciting time for the club, I’m excited to get back and get going,” she said.

“I’m really grateful for the club, for giving me the opportunity for all these years and hopefully we can repay the club back.”
