Match Preview | Rylee Foster previews Birmingham

Rylee Foster caught up with us to preview Sunday’s game against Birmingham in the Barclays Women’s Championship

Foster on her first first few months at Durham…

“It’s been good, to be able to play again after having a long time off is obviously ideal.

“The group have been very welcoming, and we’ve had a good successful run over the last few games of the season.

“For me, it’s been really positive that I can come in, have an impact on the squad, but also continue to grow myself as a player.”

Foster on our 6-0 win against Portsmouth…

“I think when you put that many goals in the back of the net, you’re going to have a bit of confidence, but this team isn’t a group that runs on high confidence all the time, we don’t let these wins get to us.

“We know that we have a big task ahead of us with Birmingham, so everyone is just really focused right now and ready to attack the challenge.”

Foster on our final three fixtures of the season…

“The last three fixtures of the season are the biggest fixtures of the season, we can’t drop points, we’re in a title race with three teams.

“If we keep performing the way we have, get the results that we need, we could see ourselves very happy and into the next level of play, but at this point we’ve just got to focus on each task ahead.”

Foster on Birmingham City…

“Obviously I’m hoping for a really good result for the team.

“We have done a lot of work over the international break, and it’s also given us time to recover, to focus on our strengths and weaknesses.

“3 points and a bunch of goals would be ideal.”

Foster on the Blue Army…

“We just want to hear them loud and proud, your support helps us and we love hearing you.”
