The season is heating-up – and the big games keep on coming at Maiden Castle!
Durham take on Portsmouth in another crucial game in the Barclays Women’s Championship on Sunday, March 30 (12pm kick-off).
With the Blues and Pompey both in need of points, there’s plenty to play for in this one and tickets are selling very quickly.
But there’s still time for you to secure your spot at the big match – and here’s five reasons you can’t afford to miss the big game…
THE TITLE FIGHT IS ON!
It’s been one of the tightest promotion races on record in the Barclays Women’s Championship, and the title race remains on as a host of teams chase the one promotion spot!
Durham remain in that hunt, and know that every point matters as we enter the final run-in with a number of the other promotion hopefuls still to play.
This game could be one that has major bearings on the promotion race as the season reaches its climax.
OUR PENULTIMATE HOME GAME
Can you believe we’re almost at the end of the season already!?
Durham have just four games remaining and only two of those are at home, meaning this is already our penultimate home fixture!

After this clash with Pompey, our next home game is over a month away! So if you miss this one, you’ll have to wait a long time for your next Durham fix in the North East!
HISTORY IN THE MAKING
This game will be the first time that Portsmouth have travelled to Maiden Castle, so it’s a little bit of history in the making!
We have met before, with our clash earlier on the south coast full of drama as we ran-out 3-0 winners.
With even more on the line now, this one promises to be equally exciting and even more crucial!
SEE THE NEXT GENERATION
Ahead of the game, we’ll be running our annual junior club tournament – which is this year being run alongside The PFC Trust on what is our dedicated fixture for the charity.
We’ll have teams from across the region at U10 and U12 age group battling it out to win The PFC Trust Cup.
We’ll then be introducing all participants to the crowd at half-time in our game against Portsmouth, so make sure you give them a cheer!
MEET THE PLAYERS
Always a highlight of our match days is the player meet and greet post-match.

And that’s going to continue at this game, with our squad heading over to meet supporters in front of the Main Stand once they’ve completed their post-match team talk.
So get yourself down and bring your autograph book!
A sell-out crowd is expected for this clash with hundreds of tickets already snapped-up.
Supporters can purchase their tickets now via our easy-to-use online ticketing platform. Prices are as follows:
- Adults – £12
- Students – £8
- Child (16 & under) – £6
