Durham Women engaged with hundreds of youngsters across the North East for International Women’s Day 2025
First team players from the club visited schools throughout County Durham and Teesside to inspire the next generation to celebrate an important day of the year.
As well as answering questions, posing for photographs and passing on advice and insight into life as a professional footballer, players also dished out tickets for our upcoming Barclays Women’s Championship fixture against Southampton.
Here’s exactly what the players were up to:
- Anna King, Carly Johns, Ella Wilson and Alice Griffiths were at Durham Johnson and hosted a Q&A and football session
- Rylee Foster, Kaila Novak and Abbi Grant visited The Meadows to deliver an inspirational assembly
- Chilton Academy hosted Aimee Claypole, Hannah Blake, Mollie Lambert, Abby Holmes and Michaela Foster who joined in with their Biggest Ever Football Session
- Sarah Wilson, Beth Hepple, Becky Salicki and Dee Bradley visited Kepier School for a question-and-answer session
- Grace Ayre, Lauren Briggs, Lily Crossthwaite and Eleanor Ryan-Doyle headed to St Bede’s Lanchester to host a Q&A
