Match Preview |Aimee Claypole previews Brighton

Durham forward Aimee Claypole caught up with us to preview Wednesday’s trip to Brighton & Hove Albion in the fourth-round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup

Claypole on Sunday’s win against Southampton…

‘I think it’s what the team needed after a tough week of games, with Chelsea midweek, it was nice to come out the end of that week with a win.

‘It is super important in the league as well, we know how close it is and we can’t afford to drop points at any point and we know that.

‘It was a really good performance and something that was really needed to give us a boost going into the next week.

Claypole on Wednesday’s rescheduled Adobe Women’s FA Cup tie against Brighton & Hove Albion…

‘I think we’re hoping for just a good team performance again, of course we go into every game and we want to get a win so that’s at the front of our minds.

‘We see it as a challenge, but something that we feel that we can for sure overcome.

‘It should be good to get more minutes in the legs and prepare ahead of Sunday’s game’.

Claypole on what the Adobe Women’s FA Cup means to the Club…

‘I think it’s massive, the FA Cup is such a prestigious cup in England and I think every single player that plays in it is really proud to do it.

‘For a club like us, as far as we can go is really important.’

Claypole on the Blue Army…

The support has been amazing, every game they’re so loud and proud, and we use that to our advantage.

Thank you to everyone travelling down and we will see them tomorrow.
