Bede’s Institute of Sport and Education Women’s Football Academy trials

We are delighted to announce the continuation of our partnership with Bede’s Institute of Sport and Education Women’s Football Academy.

The Women’s Football Academy will be hosting a series of trials for their Academy on Wednesday February 26th, 12pm until 2pm, at Bede Sixth Form College.

You will find out more information about our AOC and ESFA teams, the pathway for Durham Women FC including the WSL Academy team and the potential NFYL team. There will be scholarships available which include kit packs and information on the performance support package including bespoke strength and conditioning programmes in our new athlete lab, free physiotherapy, nutrition and sport psychology workshops.  The trial will give you an insight into the facilities, coaching level and aspirations to help footballers in the local area progress into semi-professional and professional football.

The partnership will provide aspiring footballers from around the Tees Valley area the opportunity to continue their education, as well as train and play semi-professionally for Durham Women FC or represent Bede Sixth Form College in the AOC and ESFA competitions.

Established in 2018, Bede’s Institute of Sport and Education strives to support young athletes through their academic studies by offering over 6 hours of on-pitch training and a bespoke strength and conditioning programme, free physiotherapy, all as part of a student’s timetables.

Bede’s Institute of Sport and Education currently offer the following academic programmes alongside your Football Academy programme: A-Level’s or full-time vocational courses in Sports Coaching and Development, Sport & Exercise Science, Policing, Uniformed Services or Level 2 Sport.

Please see Bede’s Institute of Sport and Education brochure here!
