Lambert on the season so far…
‘I think it’s been a really positive start; the first half of the season has been really good.
‘We didn’t end it how we wanted to but I think it’s been a good start overall, everyone has obviously underestimated us, but it’s been a good start.’

‘We’re all feeling refreshed after Christmas, had a little bit of a break after the cancellation last weekend so we’re all raring to go.
Lambert on Charlton Athletic…
‘They’re a tough opposition, the league doesn’t justify where they are, they’re a good side.
‘It was a good game back at The Valley, so it’ll be a tough game, but we’ve got a game plan and it’s how we execute it’.
Lambert on winning the North East Football Writer’s Association Player of the Year award…
‘It’s an honour, I am really proud of myself, I feel like I’ve worked really hard, and it’s great to keep it within the Durham camp.’
