We caught up with Kaila Novak following a positive win that saw us through to the Women’s League Cup quarter-finals.
Here’s what she had to say…
Novak on the win…
“I’m proud of the team.
“I knew we would get it done so we came with confidence and we’re happy to come away with it.”
Novak on a derby…
“I haven’t participated in one in the UK so I can definitely say these people over here, especially in the North, take it very seriously.
“It gets pretty physical but again, we got the job done.
“We knew it was going to be a good battle and we were ready for it.”
Novak on her goal…
“I’m very happy.
“It’s always a team effort and shoutout to ERD as well, she got another one, so I think we bounce off each other very well.
“The team really rallied for that and I couldn’t be happier with the whole performance.”
Novak on the fans…
“Oh my gosh, they are absolutely phenomenal.
“They show up day in and day out – rain, sun, any type of weather – usually they’re freezing by the end of it so I cannot thank them enough.
“I heard them every step of the day.”
