Dee Bradley Previews League Cup Tie

Durham midfielder Dee Bradley caught up with us to preview tomorrow’s trip away to Sunderland in the Women’s League Cup.

Sunderland in the Women’s League Cup tomorrow, a tough opponent, what are you hoping for there?

‘Yeah, I think Sunderland is always a local derby, a local battle, so it’s just whoever is up for it on the night and I think we’re ready for it.’

‘I am really looking forward to playing and just enjoying it and we’ll see where the night goes.’

As you said, a local derby, what does that mean to the players and the club?

‘Yeah it’s huge, I mean that’s what you kind of play for, so I think it means a lot to wear the Durham badge alone, but against a North East rival, there’s a lot to play for.’

With it being a local tie, I’m sure there will be lots of travelling fans there, how amazing will they be?

‘Yeah, they’re the best, I mean we hear them home and away, even when it’s cold and rainy, they show up, so we’re looking forward to hearing the drums on Wednesday night.’

‘So, to all the fans, pretty please come out, I know it might be cold and dark, but we could use your extra voice so you’re our spare player out there.’
