Durham Women were invited to Brancepeth Castle Golf Club on Monday, December 9 – with some of the club’s professional players turning their hand to a different sport.
Anna King, Olivia Bramley, Michaela Foster, Dee Bradley, Eleanor Ryan-Doyle and Carly Johns all took part in a fun few hours of golf on the club’s driving range and putting area after a kind invite.

The players were given tips on their technique by some of the club’s top female players in Marianne Moore and Helen Morgan before finding out more about the fantastic facility – and their ever-growing female membership base.
Speaking after the visit, Durham Women’s Operations & Marketing Manager, Mark Donnelly, said: “We’re really thankful to Dean, Marianne, Helen and all the team at Brancepeth Castle Golf Club for inviting us down.

“It was great to see the wonderful facilities they have at such a picturesque site and for our players to see what’s available on their doorstep.
“Brancepeth Castle Golf Club have a real drive to increase their female membership numbers – which are already at a strong level – and we look forward to what is hopefully the beginning of a really positive and collaborative relationship with them.”
