Match Reaction | Beth Hepple on her goal at Blackburn Rovers

Beth Hepple racked-up a goal and two assists during the 3-2 win at Blackburn – and we caught-up with her post-match.

Here’s what the midfielder had to say…

Hepple on the result…

“We’re obviously just delighted to get the three points and to come back from a losing position is massive and shows the character we have in the squad.

“Fair play to Blackburn, we knew it was going to be a tough game and they came at us.

“We were probably a bit lacklustre in the first half. It wasn’t lack of effort or anything, we just needed to be a bit quicker on the ball.

“We brought that in abundance in the second half and that brought us back into the game.”

Hepple on the second half performance…

“It was really good.

“Adam said at half-time that it wasn’t good enough in possession, it wasn’t sharp enough, it wasn’t accurate enough.

“We were better at that in the second half, we created a lot of chances and we probably should have had more than three goals to be honest.

“But it’s good we’re creating those chances and it’s nice to play in.

“Briggsy scoring, Mickey scoring an outstanding goal, it’s nice to see different people on the scoresheet.”

Hepple on her goal…

“It was nice.

“I was a bit gutted I didn’t get a couple in the first half to be honest.

“But to get on the scoresheet is always nice and to help us win a game is lovely.”

Hepple on the away support…

“They were unreal.

“We always have a really good backing at every game and it means a lot to us.”
