We caught-up with defender Grace Ayre ahead of the trip to Blackburn Rovers in the Barclays Women’s Championship.
Here’s what she had to say…
Ayre on the start to the season…
“We’ve had a really good start to the season.
“We’ve had some really good performances in there but there is also things that we
definitely need to work on.”
Ayre on our last two games…
“The first game against Newcastle, I think the performance wasn’t great but we
managed to get three points.
“And again against Sunderland, I think there was spells where we did play well, we started really well but going into the second half we knew we weren’t good enough and probably didn’t deserve the three points.”
Ayre on Blackburn…
“The break has definitely come at the right time. The mood’s been really good in camp, everyone wants to put the wrongs right and we’re ready and prepped for Blackburn.

“Every team in the league is always a tough battle and the games could go either
way.
“But we believe in ourselves and we really want to put things right from the
Sunderland game, so yeah, we’re ready.”
Ayre on the backing of our travelling fans…
“They’re always great.
“There’s always a strong turnout for Blackburn so yeah, I’m excited to see them”
