We sat down with Durham Women skipper Sarah Wilson to look ahead to the visit of Birmingham City
Here’s what she had to say…
Wilson on the Charlton game…
“There’s lots of positives to take.
“Coming away from the game we were really frustrated at how the result turned out and we knew that wasn’t anything we deserved.
“But we’ve reflected and analysed everything and we’re really happy with our performance. We couldn’t have done any more on the day.
“Yes, it’s disappointing but there’s so many positives to take away from it.”
Wilson on Birmingham City…
“It’s another massive game this weekend.
“We know it’s going to be really, really difficult because of the start they’ve made and the team that they have there.
“But we’re focused on what we want to achieve and ourselves.
“Birmingham have been one of the top teams in the league and we know what they’re all about.
“We’re fully ready but we’re fully focused on ourselves and fully belief in ourselves and back eachother all the way.”
Wilson on our developing style of play…
“It’s really positive and it’s exciting.
“We all believe in each other and in the club and the game plan. That’s what we’re focusing on this weekend.”
Wilson on returning to Maiden Castle…
“We’ve had a couple of long away trips and fans have been at those games which is incredible.
“But we’re excited to be back at home in front of our home crowd, and hopefully we can leave it all out there on Sunday.”
