We caught-up with stopper Anna King midway through her first professional pre-season.
The 21-year-old signed her maiden full-time contract at the club over the summer, and offered an update on her progress ahead of the pre-season friendly with Liverpool Feds…
King on pre-season so far…
“It’s been really good to be in with the girls full-time.
“I’ve seen the step up and been working hard so it’s been really good.
“It’s been really good to challenge myself.
“They’ve gone well and hopefully we can take that into the season.”
King on the clash with Liverpool Feds…
“I’m excited.
“Last time I played Liverpool Feds was with Durham Cestria and we won 1-0 in the FA Cup. It was a really good, and we’re hoping for a good game again.
“It’ll be good to see how we shape-up.”
King on being reunited with the fans this weekend…
“Really looking forward to it.
“To see their support every weekend will be really exciting and they’re a part of the club from the top down to the bottom, so it’ll be really good to hear them and see them again.
“They’re massive every season and hearing them and seeing them pushes the team on – it’s brilliant.”
