We caught-up with defender Becky Salicki after the final day win over Birmingham City.
Here’s what she had to say…
On the win…
“It’s about time really!
“We’ve had some good performances but maybe not the results and I think it’s been coming.
“It shows what we have as a group and it’s really good to end on.
“It’s a shame we haven’t got this in a couple of games earlier in the season but it’s nice to end on.”
On a clean sheet…
“As a team, that’s from the front to the back, that was a proper team defensive performance.
“We put everything into it and every one of the girls died on the pitch to make sure we got that clean sheet.”
On the performance…
“Birmingham are a fantastic team and they were up for the title.
“We have to be really proud of what we’ve done and we had just as many chances as them.
“Towards the end we are going to have to deal with more pressure but we dealt with it and even then we had chances to go two, maybe three-nil up.”
On having something to build on…
“It’s crazy our last win was in December, but we just have to build on it now.
“It sounds like we’re being over-reactive to a win, but we’ve all worked so hard behind the scenes to get to this point.
“We’ll enjoy it.”
On the fantastic home support…
“I saw the weather when we first arrived and I thought we might not have had as many fans.
“But to get over 1000 here today is outstanding – walking in there was queue at the gate and that’s just crazy.
“Again, I want to thank the fans because they’ve been outstanding this year. We couldn’t have done it without them, and everything we do is for them.”
