Durham Women goalkeeper Tatiana Saunders says the side are looking to end on a high as they face Birmingham City in their season finale.
The Blues will be at Maiden Castle for the final time in the 2023/24 season on Sunday, April 28 as they face the Midlanders in a 2pm kick-off.
And ahead of the game, we caught-up with the stopper:
Saunders on the Birmingham game…
“Birmingham are a good side.
“It’ll be great to be back at Maiden Castle in front of the fans and hopefully we get a really good atmosphere and a nice way to end the season.
“It would be nice to go out on a high and with our fans behind us anything is possible.
“We’re prepared really well and we’re ready for the weekend.”
Saunders on results not reflecting performances…
“That’s football – there’s highs and lows in the game.
“The highs make the lows worth it, so hopefully we can end on a high.”
Saunders on ending the season at home in front of our fans…
“Our fans are terrific.
“They’re so loud, we heard them at Reading and it’ll be nice to be in front of them again.
“They’ve followed us on the road and at away games they’ve been louder than the home fans.
“We’re really lucky to have such dedicated fans.”
