Durham Women to welcome host of junior clubs to End of Season Celebration!

This Sunday we’re welcoming a host of local junior clubs and teams – as we celebrate their successes in the 2023/24 season!

We’ll be celebrating these club’s achievements this season – whether that’s a trophy win, a first victory as a team, or just a season of progress from everyone involved!

We’ll be holding a half-time parade for local junior clubs and teams, where they will be the stars of the show and paraded on the pitch in front of the home support!

Here’s the teams and clubs we’ll be welcoming on Sunday, and some of the things they’re celebrating this season:

– Jarrow Lionesses U10sThe togetherness of the group of girls, came runners up in league & ready to compete in Cup.

– Heaton HawksU12 girls won their league for the first time, u7 girls won their league in first season. U11 completed their first season. Formed 3 new wildcats teams.

– Bewley Primary SchoolContinuing to raise the profile of girls football in the area.

– Burradon Juniors Girls Yellows U12sOur first season together as a team and achieved togetherness and team spirit as well as developing ad a team

– Chester Le Street Town U10 Girls

– Newker Primary

– FC Darlington LocomotivesFC Darlington Locomotives Under 12’s won their league, remained unbeaten all season and actually won every league game they played!

– Washington AFC U8 Lionesses Amazing team work from all of the girls all season and absolutely loving their football.

– New Durham AFC U10 GirlsThis is the first year for the girls playing as a new team in the premier league and they finished in 6th place. They won the north east skills football tournament and finished as runners up out of 21 teams from all over the country in the Esf football tournament in butlins! Huge thank you to coach Jamie from the girls.

– Bedale Juniors U12We run 2 girls teams, they have all improved significantly as individuals but more importantly as a team they have played brilliantly. Teesside League team won division 2 and got promoted to division 1 for the short spring season and next. Our Harrogate League girls have bonded so well and have never given up. Their progression has been monumental.

– Ribbon AcademyRibbon Girls coming second in our football tournament
