We caught-up with Lily Crosthwaite ahead of Sunday’s visit from Crystal Palace.
Here’s what the forward had to say…
Crosthwaite on the Sunderland game…
“Derby Day is always fun and all the girls are always up for everything.
“We know that the last few games we’ve played we’ve been building something and our performances are getting there.
“We just want that final push to get some points.”
Crosthwaite on her personal form…
“In any way I can, I want to help contribute to the team.
“Assists are great, goals – if you can do anything to help then it’s amazing and feels great individually.
“But as a collective we all know what we want and any way that any of us can contribute to that, it’s massive.”
Crosthwaite on another exciting challenge…
“We’ve played Palace who are among the top, Sunderland, and now Palace.
“We’re at that crucial part of the season where all the teams want points and it’s getting to that point where everyone needs them.
“Every game is going to be a test and we know we need to focus on our performances and show what we can do.
“We know that everybody in the team is going to put everything into everything – and we’ve shown in the last two games how hard we’ve pushed.
“We want to put things right this weekend.
“The group is so focused – pushing each other and being so competitive.
“It’s this crucial part and we’re really motivated and want to push on.”
Crosthwaite on the return to Maiden Castle…
“The crowd here – and even at away games – we hear them and they’re so, so loud.
“To be back at home is great for us and we want to show up and put on a performance.
“Please come down and support us. We need you more than ever.
“It’s the second last home game and you’ve shown up every other game we’ve had here and even the away ones – so come along again and give us that final push.”
