Eleanor Ryan-Doyle is keen to play her part in Durham Women’s final five games of the campaign after returning to the squad.
The Irish forward missed the trip to London City Lionesses with a minor injury, but returned to the match day squad for the 2-2 draw at Blackburn Rovers a fortnight ago.
And with five big games to go, Ryan-Doyle is keen to contribute however she can.
We caught-up with the forward ahead of the first of those fixtures – the visit of Charlton Athletic on Sunday, March 17…
Ryan-Doyle on the Blackburn draw…
“I think we played really good football and were just unlucky with the result.
“It could have gone either way in the end but we want to push on from there and get a good performance on Sunday.”
Ryan-Doyle on her return…
“I’ve been back training now for a couple of weeks.
“I just want to push on help the team.”
Ryan-Doyle on Charlton…
“I actually think we should have won when we played them down there.
“Things just didn’t go our way in the game.
“They’ll be coming up here and we have the crowd behind us, so hopefully we get the result we need and want.”
Ryan-Doyle on the impact of our home fans…
“They’re always great.
“They support us home and away and they’re always behind us whatever the result is.
“We can’t wait to see them on Sunday and hear them cheer us on.”
Tickets for the visit of Charlton Athletic on Sunday, March 17 start at just £4!
