Sarah Robson: “Just Shows Our Charatcer”

Sarah Robson believes that Durham Women’s late show at London City Lionesses further underlines the character in the squad.

The Blues twice came from behind in the capital, with the Northern Irish international heading home in second half injury time to seal a point.

And it was a performance that arguably warranted more, as Robson reflected on when we caught-up with her post-match…

Robson on the performance and result…

“It’s a massive point.

“Of course we would have loved to have got three points, but to come back from being 1-0 down and then 2-1 down just shows our character.

“The first half – we dominated the game, kept the ball well and it’s probably the best we’ve played this season to be honest.

“But at the end of the day we showed the character and fight to come back.”

Robson on yet another late goal…

“I think it’s just that belief because we’ve done it so many times.

“Whenever they say there’s two minutes left, we never think the game is dead and buried – each and every one of us believed that we’d get a goal and a point.

“That’s what it’s going to take until the end of the season now.”

Robson on the impact of our away support…

“They’re so loud and they follow us everywhere.

“We play for them and they give us that extra lift no matter what.

“We really appreciated each and every one of them travelling here.”
