We caught-up with defender Grace Ayre ahead of the trip to London City Lionesses this weekend.
The Blues head to Princes Park in Dartford to take on the Lionesses on Sunday, February 18 in a 12pm kick-off.
Here’s what Ayre had to say in the build-up to the game…
On the response to our last two results…
“We haven’t had the performances or results we wanted from the last two games.
“We’ve been working really hard in the last two weeks in training.
“The mood has been good and we know what we have to do at the weekend – and that’s what we’re all determined to do.
“We’ve looked and analysed our performances individually and collectively and we know what we need to bring into the next game.
“There’s some big games to end the season and we know we need to get results.”
On London City Lionesses…
“They’ve had some good last few results.
“Hopefully with the work we’ve been doing in training we can look to get a result.”
On the impact of strong away support in the capital…
“It’s massive.
“It’s probably one of our longest away trips but I know we’ll expect to see a few fans down in London.
“We’re all excited to see them.”
On her return from injury…
“I’m happy to be back in the squad.
“This season hasn’t been what we expected in terms of injuries but I’m just trying to do what I can to help the team to get performances.”
