Here’s a bit more about the charities joining us on Sunday…

The Fostering Company are an independent fostering agency, established in 2013 with a vision to put children at the heart of everything we do. We are proud to be part of the Five Rivers Childcare Group, a Social Enterprise committed to transforming the lives of children and young people.
We are looking for foster families to provide safe, stable, and loving homes for children who are unable to be cared for by their family. We offer a competitive level of pay, training and 24/7 support.
Camilla has been the registered manager since 2013. Her lived experience underpins the vision of building a quality community of fostering families. Our team all live locally and work in partnership with local authorities and an incredible team of foster carers across the North East.
The Fostering Company support our carers to promote a positive family life and help children and young people to achieve their potential. 100% of our children and young people are in education or higher education.
Listening to children’s views is very important to us. We recently asked an 8-year-old, what made their life good? “When they (their carers) care and help me with some of my worries which have gone away. ’ Could you help a child’s worries to go away?
If you’re looking for a rewarding vocation with life-changing potential, fostering could be for you – please get in touch (0191 268 6888). To be considered as a foster carer you must be over the age of 21, have a spare bedroom, and be a UK resident.

We are here to save lives, support communities, and prevent suicide. We provide a range of services fundamental to our three main aims of prevention, intervention and supporting those bereaved by suicide. Our team reaches some of the most vulnerable people in our society to support them at a time of need.
We also believe that educating future generations is key to changing cultures. This is why we offer workshops to Primary, Secondary and educational establishments to equip our young people. We also offer training and workshops based around themes of mental health and suicide prevention to professionals.
