- It’s been a season of transition for the Blades who switched to a professional model in the summer and saw a number of new faces arrive at Bramall Lane.
- The South Yorkshire side currently sit eighth in the Barclays Women’s Championship with their record standing at: P13, W4, D2, L7
- Their last triumph came on December 10 when they beat Rugby Borough 3-2 in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup.

- Izzy Goodwin is the club’s top scorer having netted seven times already this season since joining from Coventry United.
- The experienced Sophie Barker is the club’s captain – and she has won promotion from this division twice before with Doncaster Belles and Leicester City.

- Our last meeting with Sheffield United came in the Continental Tyres League Cup, where a 1-1 draw was followed by a thrilling penalty shootout.
- Amy Andrews put Durham ahead before Jess Sigsworth levelled to send the tie to spot-kicks.
- And the Blues eventually ran-out 8.7 winners after a lengthy shootout.
- Prior to that, Durham were 1-0 winners at Bramall Lane in the reverse league fixture – Eleanor Ryan-Doyle scoring early on.


- Durham welcomed Watford to Maiden Castle last weekend and were beaten 2-0 – as Carly Johns and Coral Haines netted.
- Sheffield United were also on the end of a home defeat as Katie Wilkinson’s goal saw Southampton claim a 1-0 win.
