Durham Women sign Olivia Bramley on permanent deal

Durham Women are delighted to announce the signing of defensive midfielder Olivia Bramley.

The 25-year-old has put pen to paper on a professional contract at Maiden Castle and bolsters the squad ahead of the second half of the Barclays Women’s Championship season.

Comfortable playing in the centre of defence or midfield, Bramely brings experience from across the globe to the North East.

After coming through the ranks at Leicester City, she made her breakthrough in senior football with Loughborough Foxes in the FA Women’s National League before making the move to Australia.

She excelled in Australia, and most recently represented West Adelaide United in the Women’s National Premier League.

And now Bramley has teamed up with Durham – and expressed her delight at joining the side.

“I’m really excited to be part of the club,” she said.

“Everyone has been super-welcoming already and have made it a really easy and smooth transition for me to join.

“It’s a good challenge – but that’s what I came back to the UK looking for.

“I really want to take my game to the next level and I’m pleased that the work I’ve done in the shadows and behind the scenes has been recognised.”
