Sarah Robson named 2023 NEFWA Player of the Year

Durham Women’s Sarah Robson has been named as the North East Football Writers’ Player of the Year for 2023!

The Northern Ireland international scoops the award for the third consecutive year and will collect her trophy at the Ramside Hall Hotel on Sunday, March 3.

Robson was a virtual ever-present for Durham in 2023, chipping in with crucial goals and defensive contributions for the side in the Barclays Women’s Championship.

On the international stage, the 36-year-old earned her 100th cap for Northern Ireland and was a key player in their UEFA Women’s Nations League campaign.

The men’s Player of the Year award goes to Newcastle United’s Kieran Trippier, while the Young Player of the Year awards were scooped by Hayden Hackney and Katy Watson.
