Amy Andrews expressed her pride in her teammates’ performance after Durham claimed a dramatic 1-0 win over Southampton.
The striker struck in injury time to seal the three points after a cagey game with minimal chances.
And that left Andrews delighted when she reflected on the fixture.
“I feel great,” she said.
“It’s amazing to get three points, especially against Southampton.
“We haven’t had a league game in quite a while so that’s a great way to return to the league.”
Talking more about her vital goal, Andrews added: “I feel like I always black out when it’s the last minute of the game!
“Mollie played a gorgeous ball through and I think I took two touches and curled it top right.
“It was great play from us and I’m so proud of the girls.
“I love a last minute winner,” she continued.
“I think it’s the best atmosphere ever and to do a celebration makes it more fun!
“The game was just back and forth, 50-50s all round.
“To get the three points, very grateful.
“We worked really hard for it so I’m very happy.”
