International Round-Up: How Durham’s Players Fared

Durham Women saw three players represent their countries over the last international break – and here’s how they fared…

Saoirse Noonan and the Republic of Ireland ensured they completed their UEFA Women’s Nations League campaign with a 100% record after back-to-back victories.

A narrow 1-0 triumph over Hungary was followed-up by a 6-1 triumph over Northern Ireland at Windsor Park.

Meanwhile, Sarah Robson and Northern Ireland enjoyed a fine 4-0 win over Albania in their Nations League clash before that defeat.

Those results ensured that Republic of Ireland topped League B Group 1 with a perfect record, while Northern Ireland finished 3rd with seven points from their six games.

Elsewhere, Poppy Pritchard and England U19s headed to Portugal for the Algarve Cup.

The forward was involved in all three games and scored a brace in the 5-1 win over Sweden.

That result was sandwiched between two draws – as the Young Lionesses tied 2-2 with Portugal before a 3-3 stalemate against the Netherlands.
