Job Vacancy: Pathway Operations Manager

Durham Women are looking to recruit a Pathway Operations Manager to lead in the successful running of our Emerging Talent Centres (ETC), Professional Game Academy (PGA) and club-managed pathway provision for aspiring female players.

The role will involve managing the operational requirements of the club’s entire pathway, while also offering support to other areas of the club as and when required.

We are looking for a strong communicator who is meticulous in their work, and accountable when working alone – who can be empathetic to the different needs and circumstances of players within our pathway.

Experience of working in a sporting environment is desirable, and a passion for women’s football is essential.

This role will be mainly based at Maiden Castle in the centre of Durham, but travel to and from other venues for fixtures will be required.

Key Responsibilities and/or Accountabilities

  • To ensure the successful running of our Pathway – inclusive of ETCs, PGA and our club-managed pathway provision
  • To ensure all players are registered via the appropriate platform(s) (e.g. FA Full-Time, Whole Game System & FA IFAS) to enable them to compete in relevant leagues and competitions
  • Maintain and organise all relevant documentation, keeping accurate records and communicating details of them with the club and Football Association as and when requested
  • Ensure all FA and PGA criteria and compliance requirements are fulfilled
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with educational providers to ensure the dual-career element of our Pathway is first in class
  • To organise and manage fixtures for our Pathway teams, which will include organising venues, travel, match officials, catering and anything else that may arise.
  • To oversee the Pathway budgets, ensuring these are not exceeded while also identifying opportunities to raise additional funds through sponsorship and other methods
  • Supporting delivery of activities at first-team home fixtures
  • Attend PGA and club-managed pathway fixtures, as well as ETC sessions
  • Any other duties that may be requested by the club

Qualifications and experience required:

Essential

  • Experience of working in an administrative role, preferably in sport
  • Experience of budget management
  • FA DBS (or willing to complete)
  • FA Safeguarding Children (or willing to complete)
  • FA Essential First Aid (or willing to complete)
