You’ve backed the Lionesses this summer – now it’s time to #BackTheBlues in the new Barclays Women’s Championship season!
Sarina Wiegman’s England side have showcased the women’s game superbly in their FIFA Women’s World Cup campaign, making history in the process, and now your local side need your support!
So that’s why we’re encouraging you to #BackTheBlues this season, and come out in your numbers for our home season opener.
Lewes are the visitors to Maiden Castle on Sunday, September 3 (12pm kick-off) and tickets are already flying out for the match!
In addition to the exciting action on the field, we’ve got plenty planned to keep you entertained throughout day – with full details below.
We saw some incredible crowds last season, so can we attract over 1000 fans in again in our first home game of the season?
Due to the huge demand seen already, supporters are strongly advised to purchase their tickets online to avoid disappointment!
Tickets start at just £4 and can be purchased below:
Full ticket information can be found further down the page.
What’s Happening?
In addition to the big game against Lewes, here’s what we’ve got planned for our #BackTheBlues fixture:
SISTER CLUB PARADE!
All of our Sister Clubs will be taking part in our annual Sister Club Parade!
We make the junior players in our region the stars of the show, parading them on the pitch at half-time to give them a taste of life on the big stage!
They will then be able to meet all our first-team players after the game!
Sister Club members can get their tickets HERE – and make sure to enter the special code from your club!
If you want to get your team or club involved, drop us an email on mark.donnelly@durhamwfc.co.uk.
PATHWAY MASCOTS!
Players from our Durham Women FC Pathway will be our mascots and guard of honour at the game!
All of our U10, U12 and U14 players will be invited, so keep an eye on the Heja app for full details.
MEET THE PLAYERS!
As always, spectators will be able to meet our playing squad following the conclusion of the game!
We’ll also have our usual match day activities and plenty of quality refreshments from Fat Frank’s Street Food truck!
