Following consultation with the Supporters Club, Durham Women FC can today confirm we are seeking to potentially change our club crest ahead of the 2023/24 season.
We would like to adopt a badge which is more in-keeping with the region we represent, and we can today unveil our proposed new design.
The proposed crest, which has been created after a thorough and detailed design process, incorporates a number of aspects synonymous with the City of Durham and the wider region of County Durham – including our iconic cathedral and nods to the area’s mining heritage.
The proposed new crest can be seen below:

Before adopting the change of crest, the club requires the support of a majority of supporters to approve the new design as per FA regulations.
This will be done via an online poll which will allow supporters in the below groups to decide whether they wish to adopt the new crest, or retain our current crest.
The following groups of supporters will be able to vote in the poll:
- 2022/23 Season Ticket Holders
- Official Supporters Club Members
- Supporters who purchased online tickets for four or more home games during the 2023/24 season
Supporters will be entitled to one (1) vote per person.
Eligible supporters will be emailed full details on the poll and how to vote this evening (Tuesday, May 23). The Supporters Club will communicate with their members via their channels.
Full results of the poll will be shared here once the vote has concluded.
