Beth Hepple says Durham Women are relishing the chance to play in front of a bumper home crowd when they welcome London City Lionesses on Sunday.
Over 1000 tickets have already been snapped-up for the game against the promotion-chasing visitors, with Maiden Castle set for a huge attendance on Women’s Football Weekend (March 26, 12pm kick-off).
That figure is set to continue growing, with tickets still available HERE.
And while Hepple is well aware of the threat facing Durham, she says the home atmosphere could be a key boost.
Here’s everything the midfielder had to say ahead of the game:
Hepple on the win at Southampton:
“It’s been a few weeks coming and it’s massive for the group in terms of confidence.
“Hopefully it’s the start of a positive end to the season.
“We’ve been striving all year for that complete performance, and against a really tough side away at Southampton it’s nice to see it come together.”
Hepple on the visit of London City Lionesses…
“We’ve got a lot of respect for London City.
“They’re second in the table and everybody can see why – they’ve just beaten Bristol at the weekend too.
“They’re fighting for every point and the title so it’s going to be a tough game.
“But there’s not much pressure on us, so it should be exciting.”
Hepple on our home form…
“To have a good league campaign you need to have a good home record.
“We want to keep that up and we always enjoying play at home with the fans and a good atmosphere.
Hepple on the impact of a bumper home crowd…
“It’s really exciting.
“Playing at home is a massive boost for us.
“It’s going to be really exciting and we can’t wait to hopefully put a good performance together.”
