CLEAR CLIMATE CUP: 18 Junior Teams To Take Part In Durham Women Football Festival!

Durham Women will be hosting their annual pre-match Football Festival ahead of Sunday’s clash with London City Lionesses.

With the game falling on Women’s Football Weekend, a bumper crowd is expected at Maiden Castle to watch the Wildcats take on their promotion-chasing visitors at 12pm on March 26.

But that won’t be the only football action taking place on the day – with 18 junior teams, and over 250 players, set to compete for The Clear Climate Cup ahead of the first-team match.

Teams from across the North East and Cumbria will converge on 3G2 (the furthest artificial pitch from the main building at Maiden Castle) from 9am on Sunday morning as they prepare for a fun and friendly morning of football fixtures!

The players, parents and coaches will then head along to the main stadium to cheer on the Wildcats in a big game in the Barclays Women’s Championship.

Every participant will receive a certificate on the pitch at half-time during the Durham v London City game, while the winning teams will also be presented with their trophies!
