PREVIEW: Sarah Robson on Crystal Palace trip

Sarah Robson believes recent results have seen Durham Women’s hard work on the training field pay off.

But the Northern Irish international knows that this weekend’s trip to Crystal Palace will be an extremely tough assignment.

The Wildcats head to Hayes Lane this weekend in their final Barclays Women’s Championship fixture before the international break – with a strong travelling support also set to head to London.

And we caught-up with Robson ahead of the clash:

Robson on building momentum…

“It’s just brought an even better morale to the team.

“It’s been good momentum, but we just want to keep building on it.

“Since September, we’re a completely different team. We’ve worked on a lot of things and it’s nice to see it’s now paying dividends.

“There’s things we’ve been trying to fix and we’ve seen in recent games that we’ve been really good.

“Last week, we maybe weren’t as good but we defended well, kept a clean sheet and created chances.”

Robson on Crystal Palace…

“We haven’t beaten Palace in the league the last three games we’ve played them, so we take nothing lightly.

“The cup is completely different to the league, and they have a lot of fans down there.

“We just have to go down there and play our game.”

Robson on our away support…

“We really need them.

“The last time we played at Palace they had maybe 400 or 500 home fans.

“It’ll be great to have our fans there to help us and support us.”
