PREVIEW: Hannah Greenwood on Everton

Durham Women face their final game of the calendar year this weekend as they travel to Everton.

Neither side can qualify for the next stage of the Continental Tyres League Cup, but it will be another chance for the Wildcats to test themselves against top tier opposition – having already faced Manchester United and Aston Villa this term.

And ahead of the game, we caught-up with Hannah Greenwood…

Greenwood on the last fortnight:

“It was disappointing for the game to be cancelled because it’s always fun to play in the FA Cup.

“But it’s given us more time to train and build on the good performances we’ve had.

“Training has been really energetic and enjoyable and we’re all working really hard to see what we can do on Saturday.”

Greenwood on her return from injury:

“I missed quite a lot of the season so far but it’s enjoyable to be back in training.

“I’m working hard and trying to build my performances and get better every week to get minutes.”

Greenwood on the test posed by Everton:

“It’s what you play for.

“Everyone wants to test themselves at that level, and we’ll try and put on a show on Saturday. We want to keep building on the positive results and performances we’ve had.”

Greenwood on our travelling fans:

“It’s amazing.

“We always hear them on the pitch and it’s great to have such backing. We look forward to seeing them all there!”

Durham’s trip to Everton kicks-off at 12:30pm on Saturday, December 17 at Walton Hall Park. Tickets can be purchased HERE.
