Durham Women are set to kick-off their Vitality Women’s FA Cup campaign this weekend – as they travel to Peterborough United.
The Wildcats enter the competition at the Third Round stage against the fourth-tier Posh, who have already secured some eye-catching results en route to this stage.
We caught-up with Bridget Galloway ahead of the game:
Galloway on building momentum after good performances…
“It was really good from all the girls against Bristol City.
“We probably could have got all three points but it’s a stepping stone – we put in a good performance and we’re getting there.
“We haven’t had the best results, but it’s coming together. Hopefully results will start going our way.”
Galloway on the Vitality Women’s FA Cup…
“The FA Cup is one everyone looks forward to.
“It would be great to have a cup run and we’re looking forward to the weekend.”
Galloway on the backing of our fans on the road…
“The fans mean everything.
“It’s great when they all get along and support us, so it’ll be great to see some of them down there with us this weekend.”
The Vitality Women’s FA Cup Third Round tie will take place at Abbey Lawn, home of Bourne Town FC, on Sunday December 11 (1pm kick-off).
Entry is FREE for all spectators who say ‘The Urban Penguin sent me’ at the turnstile.
