We caught-up with Grace Ayre ahead of the trip to Aston Villa in the Continental Tyres Cup.
Here’s what the defender had to say:
Ayre on the Coventry win…
“We needed a big three points.
“To score five goals, I think that confidence was needed.
“Even though we scored the five goals, we all know the performance could have been better; we’re better at keeping the ball, moving the ball.
“But it’s good that we got the job done and we move on to Aston Villa.”
Ayre on the trip to Aston Villa...
“They’ve got some amazing players and it’s testing ourselves against the top flight.
“But we showed against Manchester United that anything can happen and we are able to compete with the top teams.
“We’re doing well in the cup, so hopefully we can carry that on.”
Ayre on the away support…
“We know our fans will be travelling down again.
“It’s unreal to hear them being louder that the home supporters, and it’s really motivating.”
