Durham Women are back in Barclays Women’s Championship action this weekend – as they head to Coventry United.
We caught-up with midfielder Mollie Lambert ahead of the clash…
Lambert on the international break…
“It’s been a tough couple of weeks not getting the results we wanted, so it’s been good to get a couple of days to rest, refresh and recuperate before we go again heading into Coventry.
“The break happened at a good time for us.
“But straight away we hit the ground running, drew a line under the last fixture against Charlton, and focus on Coventry and the next couple of fixtures.”
Lambert on positive signs…
“The performances in training are unreal.
“Our work rate, our effort, even in the gym and team bonding, we’ve got that togetherness.
“We know we’re capable of doing it – look at the performance against Manchester United, against Crystal Palace even though we didn’t get the result.
“We know it’s there, it’s just finding that one level a bit higher and it’ll come together. We know it will.”
Lambert on being backed by a strong travelling support this weekend…
“It’s unreal.
“Hearing them, it’s that twelfth player. They back us all the way and we love it.
“We’re very grateful for them.”
Durham take on Coventry at the Butts Park Arena on Sunday, November 20 (12pm kick-off). Live updates will be available via Twitter – @DurhamWFC.
