NEW: Little Legs & Family Zone To Be Introduced!

Durham Women are taking steps to improve the match day experience for their youngest supporters – by creating a new ‘Family Zone’ at Maiden Castle.

The area, which will be in operation for all home games moving forward, will offer young fans the chance to get a better view of the action.

A number of ‘Little Legs’ spots will be designated in the Family Zone – which is behind the goal nearest to the turnstile – where supporters with young children will be able to bring footstools or similar products that will enable those with the littlest legs the chance to see over the advertising hoardings.

These spots will be clearly marked with stickers, and we would ask all supporters to accommodate those who may wish to bring a footstool to ensure they have a positive experience.

This is following supporter feedback obtained from our first two games of the season, which the club has moved swiftly to address. Furthermore, by designating one area of the ground specifically for those with ‘Little Legs’, we can ensure that all supporters have a safe and enjoyable match day experience.

The club will also look to offer activities within the Family Zone as the season progresses, and welcome any ideas for this – which can be sent to mark.donnelly@durhamwfc.co.uk.

So if you’re coming with a young fan to future games and want to make sure they get a great view – feel free to bring along a footstool and head for our Family Zone!

Please Note: Durham Women FC reserve the right to stop spectators bringing in any product that may be deemed unsafe or dangerous to other spectators. Durham Women FC will not be liable for any injury, damage or loss sustained by the spectator(s) by the operation, handling or transportation of any item they bring into the ground.
