INTERNATIONAL: Durham Women Round-Up

With the international window now at an end, we take a look at how each player fared with their respective countries:

Liz Ejupi (Kosovo)

Ejupi started in both games for Kosovo as they took on Armenia and Poland.

A 2-1 win at home to Armenia secured a vital three points, before Kosovo went down 7-0 in a tricky assignment in Poland.

Maria Farrugia (Malta)

Farrugia also started both games for Malta during their recent international camp – and found herself on the scoresheet.

Mark Gatt’s side were beaten 2-0 by Azerbaijan before then claiming victory over Montenegro by the same scoreline, with the forward finding the net in that game.

Saoirse Noonan (Republic of Ireland)

Noonan may not have taken to the field during her time with the Republic of Ireland – but was part of two memorable nights for Vera Pauw’s team.

A win over Finland secured a place in the World Cup play-offs, before that was followed-up with a win in Slovakia on Tuesday evening.

Sarah Robson (Northern Ireland)

It was also a successful international window for Robson and Northern Ireland, who claimed back-to-back wins.

The Durham midfielder scored the opener in her nation’s 2-1 win over Luxembourg, before a bizarre trio of own goals handed them a 3-1 triumph in Latvia.
